The major modes of transportation in the city are – Taxi Cabs, three wheeler Baby Taxies and Buses plying in various routes. But the unique feature of the city's transportation is the 3 wheeler cycle rickshaws and horse drawn carriage (in very small numbers) available mainly in the older part of the city. Fares of Taxi Cabs and Baby taxies are charged based on meter readings. However, at times drivers insist on burgained fares for a certain distance. But fares of rickshaws and horse drawn carriages are always charged on bargaining basis.
